There are a thousand rumors flying around about dead people. I know. Lincoln, Churchill, Myers, the list goes on until you run out of fun people to spread arguably lies about. But check it out.
It's hard to point to one particular writing in the oeuvre, but Jefferson's opening, the first line he chose, the opening shot he chose to hurl over George's head, this gem:
"When, in the course of human events, it becomes necessary..."
I mean, Gaa-aaaaay!

It is my intent that one should read the hyphen as a change in pitch, a drop of the octave. That is the point at which the raised hand, palm out, fingers held aloofly useless, drops in what has become the salute of the homophobe as the swishy palm drops from the heavens in a castigation of whatever the hell it is I'm calling gay this week.
Also, I mean gay in the sense of "Log Cabin" gay, not in the sense of "Bungie Halo" gay. Please refrain from misunderstanding. That joke is, to coin a phrase, played.
